Brighton Metropolitan College
Two phases to transform Brighton Metropolitan College's Pelham Street site
We work in partnership with local authority and housing association clients to deliver multi-phase estate regeneration projects. The work usually includes a mixture of new-build and refurbishment work.
The homes built can be for a variety of tenures, including private rental, social rental, and key worker. We may also involve our private residential developer business, Regen, where we offer finance and development advice to a public sector client wanting to fund the regeneration by selling homes on the open market.
In the last ten years, we have created over 10,000 new homes through estate regeneration schemes.
Our in-house project teams and our supply chain have the expertise and experience to manage the challenging logistics required for multi-phase estate regeneration projects.
We understand the sensitivities involved when working in live environments, where housing tenants remain in their homes during the refurbishment and construction work. We also have experience of decanting and rehousing tenants during this type of work. We employ tenant liaison officers to ensure the process is smooth and causes minimal disruption to residents.
Willmott Dixon also has an exceptional record of employing local labour on multi-phase estate regeneration projects, including taking on apprentices and employing the long-term unemployed. We invest over £1 million a year in local community initiatives, and employ over 100 apprentices.
