Willmott Dixon secures Eston Pool development
Appointment follows successful leisure hub project in Morpeth
The accreditation follows a two month audit across the businesses’ sites and offices in England and Wales, ensuring all of the criteria was met.
Willmott Dixon has been awarded the key ISO 27001 certification across its entire business, recognising its commitment to IT security management and keeping company and customer data secure.
As a leading international standard, ISO 27001 recognises good practice on the management of IT security. It tackles people, processes and technology to ensure organisations manage their information in the best way possible. The accreditation follows a two month audit across the businesses’ sites and offices in England and Wales, ensuring all of the criteria was met.
Alan Ramsay, Chief Information Officer at Willmott Dixon explains
“It is an important requirement for our customers to feel assured their information and data is protected, it is something we are being asked about increasingly more frequently, especially for Government and public sector customers.
“Following on from our existing Cyber Essentials accreditation, when reviewing these requirements, pursuing certification via ISO 27001 was the obvious choice for providing these assurances.
“Through obtaining the accreditation across the entire business, we are able to assure our customers – whether they are in Newcastle or Plymouth, or anywhere in-between that they are working with a company that puts IT security management at the heart of its business practice.”
As well as providing outstanding IT infrastructure and security across its sites, the company is also committed to tackling digital poverty through its trailblazing 2030 ‘Now or Never’ sustainability strategy. In March the business committed to donate up to 400 refurbished laptops each year to children to support digital upskilling in the communities the company serves.
