Willmott Dixon achieved further national recognition after being named ‘Contractor of the Year’ for the second year running at the Housing Excellence Awards for its collaborative working practices. It's just over a month since Willmott Dixon was also named Building magazine's 'Major Contractor of the Year'.
The Housing Excellence awards highlight and reward companies who are leading the way in the social housing sector. In particular, judges were impressed by the close working relationship of Willmott Dixon Partnerships with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, including their approach to community engagement, equal opportunities and working cooperatively with other contractors in areas where service delivery is shared.
Willmott Dixon works with Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to deliver a repairs and maintenance service to 10,500 homes in the areas of Wentworth South, Wentworth Valley, Rother Valley West and Rother Valley South.
Willmott Dixon Partnerships managing director, Mick Williamson, said: “It is an extreme honour to win such a prestigious award and to receive national recognition for all the hard work our teams demonstrate day in day out. Business relationships are key at Willmott Dixon and we work hard to ensure we are not seen as just another contractor. The award is testimony to our commitment to delivering the best service to our clients and highlights our ability to deliver innovative and ‘value for money’ services whenever we can. We position ourselves at the heart of the communities that we operate and are delighted to have received this accolade.”
