Willmott Dixon is marking 10 years at its Dartford office, during which time it has delivered over £400m worth of projects to improve the communities and wellbeing of people in Kent and South East London.

Since the company opened its Kent base at Riverbridge House on Anchor Blvd, it has built over 60 projects in the region and created over 100 new jobs, working for customers such as Kent County Council, Sevenoaks District Council, The University of Kent, The Royal Borough of Greenwich, The University of Greenwich and National Maritime Museum.

Milestones for Willmott Dixon’s Dartford team include converting the Dreadnought Building, a former naval hospital within a world heritage site, into a student hub for the University of Greenwich and delivering the first new grammar school extension in fifty years with the Weald of Kent Grammar School in Sevenoaks.

The team are created the landmark Sibson academic ‘hub’ building for the University of Kent in Canterbury which is also shortlisted in the project of the year category at the Construction News awards. They are back on site building the university’s facility for the School of Economics.

Willmott Dixon has also made a significant impact in the communities surrounding Dartford; projects built out of this office have provided over 15,000 pupil places and its ‘Ready for the Gate’ programme helping ex-offenders back in to work has delivered social value to date of £3.3m.
