Willmott Dixon's major milestone on Queen Mary University of London building

Willmott Dixon has underlined its growth ambitions in Yorkshire by recruiting Andrew Hurcomb as its new regional operations director, based out of the company’s Morley office near Leeds.

Andrew joins from Galliford Try, where he spent 28 years rising from site engineer to operations director. His know-how and expertise will be vital in supporting Willmott Dixon’s current projects in Yorkshire, as well as working with customers on a host of new opportunities in the county.

Willmott Dixon is behind several major schemes in the county, including the new National College for High Speed Rail in Doncaster, Minsthorpe Leisure Centre in Wakefield and Scarborough Leisure Village, which includes a football ground that allows Scarborough FC to return to the town after a ten year absence. The company also recently built the Flemingate retail development in Beverley, a new campus in Scarborough for Coventry University plus two large custody suites for South Yorkshire Police in Sheffield and Barnsley.

Looking ahead, Andrew will help maintain strong relationships with all current clients, with one example being Doncaster Council where Willmott Dixon is working at pre-construction on the Herton Triangle Retail Park development.
