Film shows Archbishop Beck built in four minutes

Willmott Dixon has published a stunning time-lapse film of its work to build a new £18 million home for Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College in Liverpool.

The four minute film starts with an empty site and captures its transformation into a state-of-the-art 1000+ pupil secondary school, one of three the company is building in Liverpool.

The film also shows the inside of the school, and the large open spaces that are a feature of its innovative design.

“We’re very proud of Archbishop Beck and this film brings the entire construction to life, showing what is possible in a very short period of time. A key focus was supporting local jobs and companies and building Archbishop Beck gave a major boost with 70 per cent of the gross development value spent in the local economy and supply chain.”

Archbishop Beck also includes a sports hall with six courts, a 3G pitch, a theatre and recording and dance studios. Mayor Joe Anderson said: “The new Archbishop Beck Catholic Sports College is a fantastic facility which will provide thousands of young people with education in great surroundings.”
