Willmott Dixon secures Eston Pool development
Appointment follows successful leisure hub project in Morpeth
Willmott Dixon, a registered Green Deal provider, is bidding to deliver a retrofit development project for the Energy Technologies Institute, a major private/public initiative. As part of this bid we are looking for five candidate properties to put forward to develop the retrofit process. For the owner-occupiers chosen, should our bid be successful, they'll get a free low energy retrofit of their home - reducing wasted energy, improving comfort and lowering running costs.
Timing is very tight! If you are interested we need to receive an email no later than Monday 16th Sept. Properties that look suitable will be surveyed week commencing 16th Sept. Contact Alasdair Donn to apply .
The low energy retrofits being undertaken are quite extensive reducing energy by between 25% and 60%. Retrofitting works does involve a level of disruption although the project seeks to develop approaches to minimise this. The retrofit would be carried out by a trained and accredited professional team during Spring-Summer 2014, over a period of 2-3 weeks.
We would like to hear from you if; you are keen to have the chance to be part of this exciting project, accept there will be some disruption and your home matches the following description :
Owner occupied
Happy to be part of a study on the effectiveness of the improvement works, including an 12 month period of monitoring after installation
Your home fits one of the 5 following general descriptions –
Is likely to be suitable for retrofit with a wide range of measures such as wall/loft insulation, new windows, new boiler and heating equipment, floor insulation etc – homes which are substantially improved already will not be suitable
No known major structural / improvement works
If you think you fit the bill then please email us your address, a contact number and a front/back /sides set of photos right now. We will rapidly assess all emails received and may need to speak with you with clarifications. For those properties that look most suitable we will need to undertake a detailed energy survey.
