Brent Indian and Learie Constantine Community Centres and Residential

The London Borough of Brent has appointed Willmott Dixon to build 55 affordable homes as well as two community centres.

The largest is the £17.3m Brent Indian Centre project, which involves demolition of an existing building to be replaced with a new community facility and 29 affordable homes. The current building’s occupants, the Brent Indian Community, will move into the new development, which will include a large multi-purpose hall, commercial kitchen, offices and an IT training room.

The second contract is the nearby £13.6m Learie Constantine Community Centre project, which will also see a building demolished to make way for the Learie Constantine Centre’s new home, along with 26 new homes made up of one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

With ensuring that sustainability is at the forefront of these buildings, both buildings will feature PV panels and MVHR system.

During our time on both projects, Willmott Dixon will be engaging with the local community and committed to recruiting local residents to work on the projects.
