Willmott Dixon secures Eston Pool development
Appointment follows successful leisure hub project in Morpeth
Willmott Dixon has been appointed by Catalyst Housing Limited for the final element of a significant regeneration in Neasden, North West London, which has already created over 500 new homes.
The transformation of a major part of the Church End estate started in 1998 and has been delivered by Willmott Dixon over four phases, the last of which was completed in 2008.
Now Catalyst has given the go-ahead on a £16.3m contract to build Craven Park on Church Road, a new development of 161 homes providing a mix of one and two bedroom accommodation for shared ownership and equity purchase.
Work on Craven Park starts immediately and will sustain 300 construction jobs, as well as numerous local businesses that will supply services to Willmott Dixon. Designed by PRP Architects, the first homes are targeted for completed by December 2014.
Tim Carpenter, managing director of Willmott Dixon, said, “Craven Park is the finishing touch to the transformation of a large part of the Church End area in Neasdon. Through our partnership with Catalyst, we have helped create new housing and community facilities in Church End that will provide a high quality living environment for generations to come, something that Craven Park will add to when completed next year.”
