Retrofit and extension project will create 160 new workspaces to meet surging demand for computer science teaching
Construction industry skills have received a huge boost with Willmott Dixon pledging to increase its apprentice intake this year by 31 per cent.
The
company is looking to boost apprentice numbers from 58 to 76 by the end of 2015 and they will work with Willmott Dixon’s repairs and maintenance company
Partnerships improving thousands of homes across the UK. These homes are owned by local authorities and
registered landlords in areas like Birmingham, Rotherham, Burton-upon-Trent and
London, with recruitment campaigns about to be launched within all these contracts.
The apprenticeship positions will build on the existing programmes offered by Willmott Dixon Partnerships that cover trades including carpentry, plumbing, gas and office administration.
All those recruited will join Willmott Dixon’s award-winning apprenticeship scheme, Opening Doors, which offers trade and administration role. Providing training and development to employees, tenants and other local residents, it also gives local students the opportunity to experience working in the construction and maintenance industry.
