Boole Technology Centre
First phase of the Lincoln Science and Innovation Park
Boole Technology Centre at Lincoln Science & Innovation Park (LSIP) is part of LSIP’s strategy of creating a community of technology businesses, investors and researchers in the area.
The centre is a combination of two and three-storeys buildings providing labs, workshops, offices, technical equipment and shared working space. It retains an existing art deco 1930s substation, which is now incorporated as an entrance hall and meeting space.
Focus on Lincolnshire growth
LSIP is a joint venture between Lincolnshire Co-op and the University of Lincoln and it’s their first purpose built development. Part funded by the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnerships’ Local Growth Deal, it’s the latest in a suite of infrastructure projects we’re building to revitalise the Lincolnshire economy, with the other example being the Lincoln Transport Hub.
Peter Owen, managing director of Willmott Dixon Construction:
“Boole Technology Centre will transform LSIP’s work both locally and nationally. The project was completed both eight weeks ahead of schedule, exemplifying our team’s commitment and hard work.”
By finishing eight weeks early, we gave the customer more time to bring in the new tenants. The result was a happy and satisfied customer! Tom Blount, director of LSIP:
“The construction team have been a credit to Willmott Dixon and the scheme has benefitted enormously from their professionalism and can-do attitude.”
Safety record
We achieved an AFR of zero as part of the company-wide All Safe scheme, which aims at ensuring an accident-free health and safety culture. This included Pre-Enrolment Procedure, which makes all supply chain partners and specialists pass an online health and safety procedural test before coming on site.
