Leeds City Council’s scheme to make homes cheaper to heat is now available to any Leeds homeowner, with Willmott Dixon Energy Services one of three framework providers that will make homes more energy efficient.
Under Wrap Up Leeds ECO, anyone who owns their own property can benefit from a tailored package of energy saving home improvements, many of which are subsidised under the Government’s Energy Companies Obligation (ECO).
As well as lower fuel bills, the scheme will also make homes better insulated to prevent heat loss during the winter months. Following on from the council’s original Wrap Up Leeds scheme which promoted loft and cavity wall insulation, this new phase covers a wider range energy saving measures including heating controls, glazing and different types of insulation.
Even if residents were previously turned down for cavity wall insulation (CWI) due to how their home was built, Wrap UP Leeds ECO will help thanks to the new CWI products on offer, often at no cost to the homeowner.
The first step is a home energy survey by Willmott Dixon Energy Services; you can find out more by calling Willmott Dixon on 0113 887 6322 or emailing wrapupleeds@willmottdixon.co.uk.
