Willmott Dixon has produced a series of recommendations for local authorities to help them get from a reduced capital spend following the spending review.
It includes examples where it has saved £1.2 million of public money by combining a health and leisure facility under one roof in Gateshead. It also includes an example of how it saved £4.4 million of public money by advising a joint new build/refurbishment solution to a school.
The recommendations, backed up by examples, are designed to provide ideas that will help councils invest despite having less budget.
